Nuclear Medicine Imaging Protocol During Coronavirus

Dear Patients,

In response to the COVID- 19 crisis, we want to inform you, Nuclear Medicine Imaging remains OPEN and committed to supporting the health of our community.

All patients will be screened prior to their arrival regarding their travel history, flu-like symptoms, and potential contact with COVID-19 patients. Upon arrival, temperatures are checked for all patients and visitors including staff. We are requesting patients not to bring any friends/relatives with them unless needed for interpretation or assistance. Implemented heightened hygiene measures including readily available hand sanitiser and enforcing social distancing in the waiting room. We are also extending our opening times to accommodate patients. We are encouraging all patients to email all referrals prior to their appointment to minimise unnecessary patient/staff contact.

If you have attended any of the identified hotspots by NSW Health in the last 14 days (for a list of hotspots please click here) or if you have been in contact with anyone who has been to a hotspot in the last 14 days

If you have travelled overseas or interstate in the last 14 days

If you have any flu like symptoms (cough, fever, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, fatigue
or headache)

OR
Have recently been tested for COVID or asked to get tested or been in contact with anyone who has tested POSITIVE or is being tested
